Keep your eyes peeled and remain silent, look up and you will see the Amazonian rains pouring upon the largest and tallest trees in the jungle, they call them The Mother Of God Kapok trees, and yes they nest here, the rain showers them, one by one, salivating each and every one to shine for the world to see. It all seems so peaceful and giving but right over there, over the crowded blackberry bushes, lives a monster like no other. A beast so fierce it feeds on everything including flesh and bones. We can only talk his tale but never see it unfold. The few who ever do encounter the creature say he works his magic to fill the horizons with colorful and dancing vegetations, a verdant carnival, almost as if orchestrating a show, but of course he wouldn’t be unfamiliar with the subject, he was once the mystical ringmaster of the circus. Times have changed now, he doesn’t feed his audience for a performance anymore, instead, he stages a performance to feed on his audience. Bon ap•pé•tit!
